The Art of Tattoo

For decades tattoos were mostly rendered onto the biceps of sailors, construction workers, and outlaw bikers, but starting in the 1960s a new generation of artists sparked a renaissance in body art. Now tattoos reflect a high degree of artistic talent and have long since moved from the biceps of roughnecks to the torsos of the artists’ clients or even their entire bodies.
